William J. Rees, a founding partner of Gilmore, Rees & Carlson, is an estate, trust and tax law specialist with particular concentration in the area of individual and family estate and business planning.  He has extensive experience in the tax aspects of life insurance and annuities as well as charitable trusts and charitable gift planning.  His practice also extends to estate and trust administration, business succession planning and individual and trust income taxation.

Bill has lectured extensively on estate planning and taxation for the American Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Chartered Life Underwriter groups and other organizations.

Bill is active in his church, and enjoys music and languages.  He and his wife Dianne are the parents of three children and reside in Westwood.
